Christmas is all about giving. Times may have changed under the new normal, but this did not stop NBD from spreading Christmas cheer to communities, schools and non-profit organizations.
Instead of the usual Pre-Covid-19 NBD Annual Children’s Christmas Party with games, prizes, eats, drinks, and entertainment, NBD brought snacks and gifts to the students and staff of the Wesley Primary School. In addition to the gifts, NBD made a donation to the school to help with their feeding programme and distributed groceries to forty-two (42) families of the children who attend the school. Food items were generously donated by Management and staff of NBD. These food supplies make a big difference throughout the Christmas season, easing the financial strains brought about by Covid-19 and allowing individuals to share love, laughter and joy.
NBD continued its Christmas initiative by donating nine (9) care packages to needy families across Dominica. The Executive Manager of Marketing and Information Technology stated that “NBD is very happy to bring Christmas Cheer to the people we serve, it is goodwill towards our local communities, it is helping people in these difficult times. We are just trying to restore Christmas spirits to as many needy families as possible.”
The bank also delivered gifts and snacks to CHANCES in Jimmit as part of its annual Christmas Outreach. Since 2016, the National Bank has been bringing joy to the children of Chances throughout the Christmas season, and it will continue to do so in years to come.
The Bank hopes that NBD’s Christmas initiatives will continue to give families more reason to celebrate the holidays.
